Posting #2 12/7 - 12/13

Good Afternoon,

I have to say that the informative speech was my favorite speech to do. The demonstrative speech on how to make macaroni salad was not that fun because there was not any research information to use so it was difficult to put together. When preparing for the persuasive speech, even though there was extensive research material available, it was hard for me to do. I did not anticipate running into the problem I did and by then, it was too late to switch topics and start over. It was hard for me because of the personal experience involving my grandma and I am still dealing with losing her. I had a fun time doing the informative speech because it is a tradition that is fun to get involved in and it is part of my culture. While I was researching, I learned a lot more about the origin of the tradition than I had known.

Blabbering Student,
I definatley agree I think that the informative speech was the best one. I loved being able to express my passion but most importantly what I am inspired about. I think that for many people, talking about something that we are comfortable about. Overall, I think I feel as though that my favoritte speech was the informative one. I think that the deonstration was hard to do because there were so many things that could have gone wrong. I feel like the deonstrative speech was much more complex in that I could have encounted unwanted mishaps.

Hey,
My favorite speech was my informative speech too. I feel like I didn’t do that well on my demonstration speech either because I seemed to stumble a lot and forget my lines. I think informative speech was the best speech for a lot of people because they got to pick a topic they know well and are comfortable with. Plus it was really interesting listening to everyones speeches. I also think its cool that you spoke about your culture. I did the same thing and it feels good informing people about your culture, especially if its something they aren’t already familiar with.
